The Urban Yoga Foundation (UYF) Karma Yoga initiative will benefit you within our foundation as a teacher and UYF Ambassador.
As a teacher UYF will help you grow your teaching experience and hours, gaining clients via the classes you teach in our studios, schools, and corporate events.
As an ambassador UYF will provide a platform for you to enhance your administrative, finance, marketing, or other non-profit operations related knowledge and skills in our teacher training, networking, and fundraising events.
As we build and grow creating wellness and mindfulness in our community you become the change you want to see in the world. This offering of your expertise to many different people creates a global healing that starts in your small corner of the world. Our work would not be possible without the support of our Karma Yoga teachers and UYF Ambassadors.
The Karma Yoga initiative makes it possible for UYF to provide affordable and accessible weekly classes to adult residents in the Harlem, Washington Heights, and Bedford-Stuyvesant communities. Teachers and Ambassadors donate a minimum of one hour a week for three months. Paid opportunities are available for teachers through the UYF outreach programs, specialty class series, and teacher-initiated workshops.
